nah Foos are coming offa huge album and didnt close the fest in 2011. i put my money on them to close. there will be a lot of people leaving early sunday if ZBB closes it out. lol for as big as people say ZBB is no one sure wants to see him. on the hangout page under lineup ZBB has 190 fan adds. compared to Foster the people almost at 300. hell even beck and paramore has more people wanting to them. looking further down the lineup lupe and cold war kids have larger pulls then zach as well. HA Good...the smaller the crowd for ZBB the better. The more I listen to music from all the groups, the more I think this year is going to be pretty dang good. Looking forward to it!

I'm still wondering who our 10-12 additions will be.
I think The Strokes as a Chevy closer is a near-lock. That would bump Foster the People as pre-headliner, which would make more sense.
I'd like to see: Neutral Milk Hotel Tame Impala Social Distortion (with them playing Shaky Knees, it's possible) Manchester Orchesta Run the Jewels Pixies Death from Above 1979 Wavves Speedy Ortiz Royal Blood X Ambassadors
If 3 of these got added, I'd be set.

Hey guys. first post over here. Bonnaroo Vet and longtime inforoo member.
This will be my first Hangout and I'm really excited.
While I haven't been listening to him much lately, Beck was one of my favorites in college and one of the few elusive artists among my favorites I never, ever got to see. Umphrey's is my favorite jam band. I'm hoping they get a set somewhere after dark because their light show is killer. Hopefully not with any serious conflicts (ideally v.s. ZBB) MMJ is one of the greatest live shows around and the thought of them rocking out on the beach makes me giddy. Griz and Gramatik are my JAM the past year or so. Never got to see Gramatik either. Going to dance so hard. Also I'm really glad this line-up has stuff my girlfriend can get excited about. She absolutely loves Paramore, and is really excited to see Foo Fighters for her first time. The foos are going to be an awesome nostalgic rockout for me. My biggest fear is having to miss someone awesome like umph, mmj, etc to have to see Paramore with my girl, but hopefully it works out. Then there's a ton of other awesome sprinkled in, TVotR, Phantogram, Skrillex, Major Lazer, Beats Antique. And just a little bit of research this week has me in love with Trampled by Turtles and Robert Delong. Gonna be an amazing weekend.

I'm in a similar boat. Girlfriend is pumped for Paramore and Lupe. I'm pumped for MMJ, GRiZ, Beats, Trampled, Umph, Foos, etc. Saw Trampled this summer and it was a great show. I wonder if I have the ability to upload some of the set somewhere. I was about 3 feet from the stage. Prett sure I got a pretty sick video of the "Where is My Mind" Pixies cover they will surely do.

Help a guy out. This is my top ten for setting lineup priorities. Of the bands I did not list....who should my next 10 be? Appreciate your input. I believe in "seeking to understand" so teach me something good!
1) Foo Fighters 2) Zac Brown Band 3) Beck 4) Foster the People 4) MMJ 5) Colony House 6) Galactic with Macy Gray 7) Houndmouth 8) Know Hamilton 9) St Lucia 10)Vintage Trouble
The Word would actually be top three but they are pre-party and do not count.

Hey Beachbob. My 1st post on this board, just found it tonight. You helped me out over on the Roo Boards with a Hangout question--much appreciated. My 1st Hangout but I'm looking forward to seeing Frank Turner again. I drug a couple friends to see Frank at Roo 13 and they kept thanking me afterward. Great live show and he should definitely be towards the top of your "2nd ten".

I am really pumped about the lineup. The more I listen, the better everybody on the lineup gets. I am still really excited about seeing Robert Randolph, Medeski, and the whole North Miss Allstars together. I hear Ruthie Foster and Amy Helm sing with them on their new album. The Word's last album was heavy gospel. The new one is called soul food and due 5 May. www.rollingstone.com/music/news/robert-randolph-led-supergroup-the-word-detail-long-awaited-second-lp-20150112 Lone Bellow's new album just released on iTunes...fantastic! Love "Watch over Us" Punch Brothers also released a new album...fun. They are not booked anywhere around Hangout but at Bonnaroo.

They are the only performers set for the Thursday night pre-party. Collectively, they released an album of gospel songs, "I'll Fly Away" back in 2000 time frame under the name "The Word". The are getting back together to play several festivals, Jazzfest, Hangout and Forecastle. Their new blues-R&B-soul-fusion album is due out 5 May.

Yes they are playing the pre party so the name isn't listed on the lineup but below it in a ad for the pre party on Thursday. For sure you want to buy a ticket for Thursday as it's always a awesome night. We still don't have a lineup for Thursday only that The Word will be playing. Last year pre party we had. Iron and wine Danny brown Bombay bicycle club Dumpstafunk Girl talk Wolfmother And I'm sure there was some others but can't remember now.

Oh cool. I'd heard of the word but I didn't know who it was. Unfortunately won't be able to make the pre-party, sounds fun though

Can't wait to see Beck. Extremely glad he won the Gammy last night! Also shout out to Miranda Lambert and Eric Church! AC/DC, ELO and Sam Smith also deserve a shout out.
