I thought the Mowglis were pretty bad at Music Midtown two years ago. I don't like light poppy stuff though.

Glad I DVR'd the Palladia 2015 Hangout special...got caught in a time change. Pretty much enjoyed all of the videos. Phantogram and TV on the Radio might require a few brewskies to truly get into their sound...but hey!
In case you missed it:
1) Something from Nothing - Foo Fighters 2) Holding on to that Black Metal - My Morning Jacket 3) Best Friend - Foster the People 4) All Alright - Zac Brown Band 5) Then Came the Morning - The Lone Bellow 6) Fall in Love - Phantogram 7) Happy Idiot - TV on the Radio 8) Reflections - Mister Wives 9) Seasons (Waiting on You) - Future Islands 10 Elevate - St Lucie 11) Ain't it Fun - Paramore
The lead singer for Cheap Trick was playing lead in the Foo Fighters video....Pre-party add?

Mowglis aren't anything special at all but I enjoy them for what they are. A 1-2pm slot band prob on the red bull stage or bmi. Light music, just a bunch of ppl on stage having a good time. They have some decent "singalong" factor to them.

My first playlist is; Violin into to Free - ZBB, Free - ZBB, Everybody Needs Love - Drive By Truckers, Walk - Foos, Silhouettes - Colony House, Nicotine and Gray - Beck, Bermuda Highway - MMJ, Where is My Mind? - Trampled By Turtles, White Man's Moccasins - Umphreys Live at Murat, Nobody Told Me - Vintage Trouble, Joyful Sounds - The Word. Anybody up for posting their top ten... Top 10 songs would be tough without researching more, but I could list 10 songs from 10 bands I'm at least familiar with... 1.) Foo Fighters- Monkey Wrench 2.) My Morning Jacket- One Big Holiday 3.) Foster The People- Helena Beat 4.) Umphrey's McGee- Puppet String *** (song is just incredible) 5.) Phantogram- Fall In Love 6.) Zac Brown Band- Free 7.) Beck- Loser 8.) Future Islands- Back In The Tall Grass 9.) Vance Joy- Riptide 10.) The Mowgli's- San Francisco

wouldn't rule out a possible addition to the top to 2 rows before it's all said and done. just feels like there could be more there. but def will see some filling out of the undercard.
regardless, strong overall lineup. have only gone through umphrey's adding to my spotify playlist and am stoked.

Coool! A few I had not heard but really like. Definitely like Umphrey's Puppet String and hope there is not a conflict so I can see them for the third time. They rocked the Thursday night party a couple years ago.

I think that will probably depend on sales. If ticket sales are slacking, we'll probably see a bigger add to boost sales.

Mountain Jam lineup just released: I would have liked to see Government Mule, Grace Potter, or Robert Plant on the Hangout Lineup. IMO only Robert Plant would justify headliner and that is if they have a Led Zep Jam like they did at Bonnaroo a couple years ago. Grace Potter would be an awesome add.
I am hoping that The Word will play some of the NMA stuff off World Boogie and archives. I would love to hear "Mean 'ol Wind Die Down" or "Meet Me In The City" on Thursday night.

Some of my favorite Hangout performances were on Thursday nights; Iron and Wine, Umphrey's McGee, Railroad Earth, and Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors.

I've probably seen Umphreys 20 times(they spend a lot of time in the Midwest) and that 2013 pre-party show is near the top. They seem to be well served by the limited time allowance; not as many extended jams.

Got an email from one of my guitar makers...noticed Vintage Trouble is playing as one of their 7 emerging acts. In case you want to give them a listen:

Beck is showing Friday the 15th on his website. I believe Foo Fighters will be the Saturday night rocker, and Zac Brown Band will close it down Sunday on the beach.
Leon Russell just announced for Chattanooga River Bend. Saw him this past summer at Americana Music Awards. He has lost some of his punch, but would make a good add to the Thursday night lineup with The Word. His tour dates show him available. Check this video out. It is Throwback Thursday. You can skip ahead to Leon at 55:47. This is one of the top 10 albums in my collection for sure. Enjoy!
Enjoy!!!!

nah Foos are coming offa huge album and didnt close the fest in 2011. i put my money on them to close. there will be a lot of people leaving early sunday if ZBB closes it out. lol for as big as people say ZBB is no one sure wants to see him. on the hangout page under lineup ZBB has 190 fan adds. compared to Foster the people almost at 300. hell even beck and paramore has more people wanting to them.
looking further down the lineup lupe and cold war kids have larger pulls then zach as well. HA
