What vitals do you bring to the beach besides alcohol, sun tan lotion, and positive vibes?
I must have my camelback and also velcro straps so I can connect my sandals to my bag while in the sand. Chapstick is also a must.

Keen Newport's to protect my feet, Camelback to stay hydrated, big ol funky straw hat for that old dude at the festival look, 55 SPF for face and 35 SPF for uncovered body parts, Costas, Several "say what" T's, khaki shorts with copious Velcro pockets, cooler and cool packs to keep beverages cold, cold beverages (6 pack of miller lite and Nalgene bottle full of margarita mixed strong), my trusty Canon A710 IS 35mm that survived two weeks in Europe, Boys Scout National Jamboree and four Hangout Festivals, and ear plugs just in case I am on the front row again, and again, and again. Boooooyaaaaaah.

The noise, my fiancé, sailor jerrys, chubbies shorts, obey poncho/blanket for sittin, iPhone, waterproof camera, isound portable USB charger (toss in locker for quick charge on phone or camera), camelbak, spy happy lenses, bucket hats, lazer sword for night time fun, bloody beetroots mask, moonshine, money for red bull vodkas and spicy pie, 2 chains trippystix, my sense of wonder and amazement.
and I too will be stealing that carabiner trick!
oh and check out a product called NEVER HUNGOVER, shit works well. Sold at GNC only about 2$ a bottle I just bought a box for next week.

Also bringing my luche libre mask, totem, and three spare cell phone batteries so I don't have to sit at a charging station.

thanks for the reminder Jackie. Coordinating meeting places in advance is also a good idea. A lot easier than lugging a totem around.

Just got this e-mail from Hangout...
Please bring the physical ticket(s) purchased onsite in 2013 to the "Wristband Exhange" tent at this years festival to get your 2014 festival wristbands.
If you have misplaced your ticket(s), we can look you up by name, but only if you are the purchaser.
I hope they offer this onsite purchase option again this year. Big savings, no fees, and I like having my ticket in hand.
Driving down Wednesday. Dropping off some furniture for friend in Pensacola that on to Island Winds. Sounds like the weather is not going to play nice Wednesday but, clear out by 4 PM Thursday. 60 degrees with a breeze will be cool for the evening shows.

Bar Menu from last year was; Bud, Bud Light & Stella $7, Strawberita, Limearita, Malibu Cranberry, Pineapple and Cola for $8 each, 14 Hand Wine $25 a bottle, all sorts of Red Bulls and Dasani Water for $5.
I go to Wal-mart, stock up on wine, Blue Moons, etc., the night before. I try to stick to water at the festival. There are those times when you say hey, I'm on freaking vacation, and blow the big bucks for a Shock Top or tall boy in the sand at 1000 before headliner finale.

I'd enjoy meeting you-all sometime during the festival. Anybody got an idea for a time and place where we could mingle and have a cold one?
