Hello all,
Any ideas or tips for things to do on the Monday after the festival? As I will still have the condo Monday evening.
This can include things to do in the daytime and in the evening?

I think some of us are going to try and get together at Island Winds East Pool to pick some guitar around the time the sun goes down on Monday. Traffic is really bad for most of the day so the pool and the beach are a great alternative. Gulf State Park is a good place to hike or ride a bike. I think they have rentals.

Agreed with Bob. Most of the crew will just be taking it easy on the beach Monday. It's a relaxing, wind down day. In the evening, if you have the transportation, I would check our FloraBama if you get the chance.

Florabama is usually pretty slow on Monday nights, however, given there will be a lot of folks in the same situation as you are, it could be a good night to go. It is like a national landmark and museum for people who like to party, get sand in their clothes, and staple their underwear to the ceiling. You should not miss the opportunity to visit the Florabama and take a souvenir home with you. I am a card carrying member..LOL www.florabama.com/ |

Oh...almost forgot. Their is a van shuttle service that runs up and down the beach hotels and condos to the Florabama and other bars for $5 each way per person plus tip. A whole lot better deal than the Orange Beach Police Department Drunk Tank. I can't remember their name, but the folks in the condo office you stay at will and maybe give you a card with the taxi's phone number for your wallet.

Last time I looked the Florabama shuttle only went as far as Orange Beach. It'd be great it if would come all the way to Gulf Shores.

Monday is all day beach day for my group. Then a nice sit down dinner someplace fancy. We did cobalts last year. Also any type of gifts we need we take care of that day unless we already have.
