Alright, so we've got Delta Spirit and Dawes, all we need is Deer Tick and our favorite band of 2011 will be in tack. Middle Brother is comprised of the lead singers of these three bands and they only played one tour.
That would revolutionize this lineup in the indie vein if deer tick and thus, MB was added.
Deer Tick has weekend available. Here's to hoping.

Yes, it's all coming together for that perfect storm that is Middle Brother.. I missed their show here in Dallas last St Pattys day and It's haunted me ever since. Here's to one last shot at it..
That is the main reason why I'm taking a day trip to see Diamond Rugs play at SxSw. Much like Middle Brother when will there be a chance to have them all together again!?.... but OHHHH... who cares... GIMME A BEER

This would be great but I wouldn't count on it happening. I saw Middle Brothers last show at the Newport Folk Fest last year...and then later on that night in a small bar..and they all pretty much said that was going to be their last show in a long long time. Even if Deer Tick was there I don't know if it would happen. Hangout is not really a fest like Newport where collaborations happen like that.

I was thinking the same thing, however... you can't go wrong with a weekend of Vasquez, Mccauley, and Goldsmith even if they are not on the same stage.
I heard in Tampa there was a 2 song Middle Brother set with just John and Taylor... and there is a really cool youtube video of Dawes, Mumford and sons, mccauley, and corndawg singing when my time comes recently.
Any word on if Vasquez and Mccauley are still tight?

They will all still play with each other in different ways...but I think they just all have different stuff going on now. McCauley has Diamond Rugs...Delta Spirit just put an album out...but Dawes and Deer Tick are going to be at Newport this year and Deer Tick hosts three nights in a tiny bar and all the bands at the fest come play so I fully expect to hear some Middle Bro songs there with them and Corndawg there.
Not sure about Hangout...I'm kind of just seeing separate sets from Delta Spirit and Dawes..do they even play on the same day?

Update: I was lucky enough to catch two Diamond Rugs shows at SXSW. I asked both John and Robbie if they were playing Hangout, which both totally changed the subject. Not sure what that means.. Either they have no friggin' idea what "the Hangout" is.. or possibly thought I was talking about a venue in Austin.. Or.. they are not at liberty to talk about it, yet!
