Trampled by Turtles put out their tour today. It is an interesting looking tour (4 shows in Wisconsin and 6 in Minnesota in the month of March?) but they seem to be on a festival circuit, and are in the Southern part of the states in May, so not out of the question (would work well going into Avetts) I had some friends see them at DeLuna a couple years ago and said it was a total snoozefest. Been following your posts and seems like we like similar music. Don't know how your friends could not have liked trampled by turtles unless they just don't like bluegrass, it was a shitty sound setup, etc. They are actually more accessible than most bluegrass, imo, it's more like "speedgrass". And they write great songs too. I'm not too big on bluegrass, but I love trampled, string cheese, greensky bluegrass, etc. Live show is outstanding. Seen them in an intimate venue and festival. Have to say ignore your buddies on this one, they would be a great add. |

What about Alabama Shakes possibly? They play in Atlanta on the 11th I think is the date, but they're free after that so they should be in the area. They seem to be doing a lot of festivals this year, plus they fit the scene at Hangout.

I have thought Kaiser Chiefs would be a great HO addition for a few years and they have a new album coming out. Really hoping they are one of the adds.
