According to an early September fb post, Hangout will not be doing Black Friday tickets this year. Was that for locals only in the past? They also said more info on early bird tix would be announced in a few weeks.

They had an on-site sale for locals at The Hangout restaurant on Black Friday. Something like $50 for GA passes. Not having the Black Friday sales gives some creedence to the rumors that Shaul isn't involved any more.

They said that the Legacy 2014 tickets they sold on Sunday at the fest took the place of Black Friday. I'm glad I got that push notification!

Shaul is still involved as he owns the festival. Huka is no longer the production company though. From what we've heard Red Mountain is the new booking agent.

The loss of Black Friday was eventual. I have a feeling this lineup will be stacked because a) Red Mountain will have something to prove since they haven't dealt with anything this huge before (Beale Street and BayFest are no comparison) and b) After a somewhat shotty bill last year that wasn't as well received, Hangout will be looking to grab more top level acts to win back some of the public they lost last year.
