Post videos of your favorite bands that are playing Hangout this year.
This is a good place to introduce bands to folks.
Here are three different styles to start it off.
Shovels & Rope Americana, They are a two-piece guy/girl team that shares vocal duties and instruments. Wonderful live show.
Wild Cub Indie Rock, Keegan Dewitt's latest musical project. Danceable, fun, youth-inspired rock.
Kendrick Lamar Rap, He is one of the latest emcee's that Dr. Dre has put his stamp on. He has worked with everyone from Young Jeezy to Lady Gaga. 2013 marks the best booking of hip-hop for Hangout by far.

I'm diggin all those. I still can't believe there was a time when I would go to festivals and just not bother to look up bands I hadn't heard of... what was I thinking?!? Very glad I eventually realized why festivals are so amazing... to see some of your favorite incredible bands live AND to explore new bands...that will probably become favorites.
Here's one that has been getting a lot of play on our college radio station lately. They're very Jamiroquai-esque.
If you saw the movie Crazy Heart (feat Jeff Bridges & Maggie Gyllenhaal) or watched any award shows in 2010 then you've heard of Ryan Bingham. But just in case you dismissed it from your brain after 3 years, he & T Bone Burnett produced the movie soundtrack for Crazy Heart (which is awesome).

Damn this all is making me so much more excited for my third Hangout. I discovered The Sheepdogs after looking through the lineup. So awesome.

Here is a very interesting band. I listened to one song of theirs when the lineup came out and dismissed it as something I wouldn't like. Then last night one of the best drummers in town starting talking about a band called Twenty One Pilots and how it was one of the best shows he had seen. And this guy is a rocker, not really an electronic scene guy. So then I found this today.
This looks fun. I've got a feeling a lot of folks are going to be talking about this set after the fest.

OK, so about ten years ago one of my friends with CRAZY WAY-OUT-THERE music taste made a bunch of us watch a tape that had a bunch of crazy bands on it, and the only one I liked from it was Yeah Yeah Yeahs, then I forgot about them. Then they started getting huge and I gave it another listen, but didn't care too much for it. Now I'm digging back in to their catalogue and I LOVE it. This may be my most-anticipated show of the weekend now.
