Who did you see at your first concert?
Mine was Boyz II Men. My older sister took me. She bought me a shirt and then I wore it to school the next day. It received mixed reviews. I've still never seen anyone use the catwalk since that show.

Green Day. Trey lit his drums on fire. It was excellent.

Elton John at Murphy Center, MTSU Murfreesboro, TN in 1972? Goodbye Yellow Brick Road had just been released. Never forget Elton dressing up like a Crocodile and the band shredding Love Lies Bleeding/Funeral for a Friend. We were sitting about 20 rows back on the floor in folding chairs. Seen him at least 10 times since. Took my son to the Elton John vs Billy Joel dueling performers concert in Nashville.

As for my first concert, it had to be some shit my parents took me to at Jubilee Fest in Montgomery in the eighties, but I can't place exactly what it was.

First ever? Super tramp. My dad took me when I was maybe 11. Didn't know who they were, but had a good time.
First I ever chose to go to was metallica at coral sky amphitheatre in 98. That was a great show

Styx Paradise Theatre tour. I believe I was in 8th grade so stop judging Edit--sometimes I think I may have seen a band called Heat Wave at a campground and/or rodeo when I was elementary age but this memory is pretty hazy and no one living can confirm this. I believe their two big hits were Always & Forever and Boogie Nights. If any of you, ahem, more mature fans remember seeing Heat Wave outdoors in the Midwest in the 70s feel free to enlighten me.
