Looks like you are in a good location and good condo. Here is the Trip Advisor's opinion which you can take with a grain of salt...

I use Trip Advisor and find them pretty reliable. You will have a pretty good walk. The bright sun and heat in May can surprise someone who is not used to it. Wear comfortable shoes, remember you will probably taking them off and putting them on a lot in the sand at the festival. Bring good SPF sunBLOCK and drink lots of water.
I carry a cheap backpack or camelback. I carry water, sunglasses, map of festival, schedule of performers, money credit cards, maybe a small snack/gum, a couple large Ziploc bags to keep the sand out of stuff, washcloth/bandana to get wet/cool, and camera with extra batteries. Highly recommend getting a couple large caribineers to snap on the backpack so you can quickly attach shoes when you go in and out of sandy areas. Other than that, a positive and friendly, no hurry, chill, and it is all good attitude and you are set! Have fun my friend!

Yeah, looks like you're about as far east as I am west. Looks like a good locaiton but I do not know of the condo myself.

Beach Bob and Sparky are great ambassadors for Hangout. I can only add: designate a rendezvous point in case you and your friend get seperated. It's easy, especially after dark, and your cellphones will likely be dead by then. Also, I wear shoes or sandals on the beach. I know it looks goofy, but there are beer cans all over the place that have sharp edges. Sunscreen (block if you're pale) is crucial. Welcome!

Thanks JD... In the UK we used to have trainers called Nike Air Rifts (not sure if they had them in America) I think they would be perfect for an event like this. Although I do not think they make them anymore  - We will be staying from Wednesday the 13th so we will have some time to scout a good meet up point for emergencies.... good idea though thanks!! Well my accommodation plan has failed with Grand Beach as it turns out they were sold out. Really struggling to find anywhere available within walking distance, if anyone hears of anything I would really appreciate a heads up!! |
