Did some recon on schedules. On the probably not list...
Eric Clapton has a series of concerts in the UK 17-20 May booked Def Leppard will be touring in Europe the month of May 2015 Bruno Mars has a show in Vegas the 16th of May Flaming Lips has a show in Liverpool the 23rd of May Linkin Park is a headliner in Ohio 15-17 May Santana is at the House of Blues 20-22 May U2 and The Who are touring but, both have gigs the week of Hangout.
On the possible list:
Fleetwood Mac is touring with the whole band and will be in Vegas 11 Apr and then leaves for Europe end of May. Sure wish we could see them at the Hangout. John Cougar Mellencamp is touring and free during Hangout 2015. Ditto North Miss Allstars. There are a lot of bands in Austin TX the 8-10th of May that may show up in Gulf Shores. Tame Impala is one of them. Robert Randolph is playing at the Beale Street Music Fest on 1 May but, might be another possible performer for Hangout. Some of my favorite HOF alums are touring, Drew Holcomb, Amos Lee, Jack White, Foo Fighters, and Jason Isbell.
When I find someone that has been mentioned on a wishlist that is already committed, I will pass the info along.

I was giving new releases a listen on iTunes and came across the Nashville Indie Spotlight release. Drew Holcomb has a song on the list. If you like indie...some really good music in there. Would like to see some of those performers on a 2015 Hangout Stage. Fleurie, Daniel Ellsworth and the Great Lakes, Erin Mc Carley, Kris Allen, Inland Sky, and Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors of course

Fleetwood signed a "worldwide exclusive festival appearance" with Isle fo Wright in England so it sounds like they are contracted to not appear at any other festivals. I'd love them though.

I guess that means we move to Door #2. Must have laid some big bucks on the table. In Mick's book he goes on about how there were only 2 cities in America that bought Buckingham-Knicks album (which I have not been able to find). Tuscaloosa and Birmingham. I was hoping...oh well. Thanks for the tip! Confirmed!

Saturday - Rock (Cold Play, Cheap Trick (Wanee), AC/DC (Coachella), Government Mule (Wanee Pink Floyd Set, Hot Tuna Electric (Wanee), North Mississippi Allstars, Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Black Angels (Austin Psych)
Sunday - Hip-hop, R&B, Classic (Springsteen, De La Soul, Earth Wind and Fire (wanee), J Roddy Walston (who is in Jacksonville the 14th of May), John Cougar Mellcamp (new album), Robert Randolph (playing Beale St May 1st)
Can anybody find a conflict with one of these folks?

2015 New Releases - Hangout likes to take chances on new releases -
Guster - Touring in Europe during HOF Justin Townes Earle - 14 March in the states is last booking - would be a good folk sound The Decemberists - 13 April at the Ryman in Nashville - Chevy/Verizon stage? Fall out Boys - They fit the Main Stage on Saturday afternoon Milky Chance - 6 May in Nashville and nothing after booked - would sound good on the beach Belle and Sebastian -Touring in Europe during HOF Mark Ronson - Got that Boom Boom sound...not booked Modest Mouse - They were really good in 2014 and might want a repeat as a headliner? No Doubt - Playing May 8-9 in Vegas - IMO a better call than Taylor Swift on Saturday Night Frank Turner - Touring in Europe during HOF
And..2015 or recent releases
Bob Dylan's new CD has one release on iTunes and IMO it is concert hall stuff...not beach Taylor Swift...to much money, a boatload of young girls screaming....I will be in the condo pool. Coldplay...probably big bucks...I would hangout for that one Foo Fighters - If your going to have a repeat headliner...this would be a good one. Ah suspense...15 January is just around the corner. Old Crow Medicine Show...fingers crossed
Kanye West....not so much. Dude really made an a** out of himself at Bonnaroo among other places.

Was hoping for Milky Chance but they are in Milwakuee the 14th, Minneapolis the 15th and Manitoba, Canada rhe 17th so Hangout is very unlikely.

There are soooo many good bands out there from top to undercard that it is ridiculous. People who liked 2009 didn't like 2010, some preferred 2014, all in all, I think Hangout Management and their Entertainment group do a pretty good job booking performers/acts that sound really good and create a good vibe. I'm not going to influence them so guess I will cross my fingers and plan for another week in the May Gulf Shores sand and sun.

Robert Plant is today's "Roo Clue". I'm hoping they're an act we share with Bonnaroo.

Just want to add to the list of potentials: Silversun Pickups are working on a new album. Would be great on the Hangout/Chevy/Palladia stage at Night.

Incubus is going on tour as is Smashing Pumpkins with a revised band lineup. Also an afternoon DMX set would be pretty epic and old school. Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad would add a good reggae mix in the mid afternoon on a smaller stage.

Happy New Year Everybody! Looking forward to a lineup soon! Found some interesting gaps in people's schedules during festival months (May-Junish). Pharrell Williams would be a hoot on Sunday night. So would No Doubt. I would like to see Steve Winwood, Amos Less, Jason Isbell, OCMS, Moon Taxi and many others again. Aerosmith, Arctic Monkeys, Cold Play, Tame Impala, and others mentioned in previous conversations would be groovy.
