okay people time to start fantasy festival 2015 wishlist/predictions. Who would you love to see return to Hangout or play the fest for their first time? What additions to the festival grounds would we like to see?
I know I'd love to see a return of some late night shows and bring on the CHROMEO.

As someone who was not at Hangout 2014 (The crying in my sleep at night has slightly subsided):
- The Dead Weather - Less one off poppy acts (The 1975, Capital Cities) - More rocking acts (Joy Formidable, Manchester Orchestra) - Less frat bros

-Local Natives -Tune-yards -The Dismemberment Plan -Radiohead (HAHAHA! Let me dream. The Hangout hangover is strong.) -Punch Brothers -Fleet Foxes -The Flaming Lips (They should just become a resident show.) -bring back RDRGLGRN and Balkan Beat Box -Jack White -Foo Fighters is coming out with a new album soon... wishful thinking.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head during my break. Oh, and I second less frat bros.

Radiohead | Foo Fighters | Dead Weather I don't think Radiohead would be too out of the question.... it would just take too much away from the undercard acts I think.

We all thought Outkast would do the same. That obviously wasn't the case. *shrugs*

Just finished my survey for Hangout. Did you receive the e-mail? Wishlist - Closer on Sunday would be either Eric Clapton, Santana, Fleetwood Mac or hey...even Amos Lee! I love the guy's music and the crowd was awesome for his show. Headliners - Hangout has done really well with openers. I have liked all of them. Saturday night faves where the Chillis and Foo Fighters...so someone along that line. Undercards - Jason Isbell, OCMS, Moon Taxi (bigger venue please), Black Cadillacs, Los Colognes, Trombone Shorty, Iron and Wine, were all awesome and would love for them to come back. I really would love to see the Allman Brothers on the beach. If not them, then Tedeschi-Trucks with Warren and Greg. North Mississippi Allstars played at one of the fist Hangouts and I think Luther was in the hospital. They would be a great opener.
I am pretty impressed with the Hangout's ability to balance all the young and old, red and blue, hippie and frats that show up with shows that all seem to draw a crowd. Looking forward to next year!

We don't share the same tastes, beachbob. I hope you get what you want and it is at an opposing time slot to what I want. I haven't received an email for the survey. I'm kinda bummed about that.

Just joined up over here from Inforoo seeing as this is the best fest ever and deserves it's own board...
Realistic headliner possibilities for next year:
Foo Fighters | Jack White/Dead Weather | Coldplay
Pipedream wishlist that could happen but won't:
Bruce Springsteen | Pearl Jam | Nine Inch Nails
Some undercards that I'd love to have/have back:
Arctic Monkeys, My Morning Jacket, Foster The People, Umphrey's McGee, Lorde, Queens of the Stone Age, Twenty One Pilots, Ellie Goulding, Disclosure, Big Gigantic, Dispatch, Broken Bells, The National, Death Cab For Cutie, Future Islands, Reignwolf, Cage The Elephant, RDGLDGRN, Young The Giant, Bloody Beetroots, Primus.
I'm sure there's more but just starting with those. I wanna fast forward a yr right now. Idc if I'll be older, I just wanna go back.

Sarah...given there is probably 30 years difference in our ages, I think it is amazing we have as much in common as we do! When I looked around at the crowd and check out photos from the 2014 Hangout, I see a pretty good blend of ages and types of folks. Haven't seen the demographics, but I'm sure most attendees are 20-30 something. I really enjoyed Jack White, Foo Fighters, Chili Peppers, Flaming Lips (the first time). My son is 24 and has made the trip a couple times. We are totally different but, still love seafood, classic rock, and each other. He has taught me a lot about not judging a person by their appearance. Old dudes can still rock and party hard! I really hope Hangout continues to have something for everyone and does not overdose on any one group or genre. Maybe HOF should hire us to put the lineup and schedule together LOL!
Appreciate your comments and would like to see some sort of opportunity for folks on here to meet up. Seems like a pretty good group. I talked to several HOF management types and they had not heard of the Hangout Boogie Board. Maybe more will join during the next year. Patiently waiting for next year while sitting on my boat listening to my Hangout playlist, enjoying the sun, great weather and a margarita. Cheers!

When the initial lineup came out this year without all of the jam, I thought Allmans were almost a lock to tie in to that crowd and with it being their last year touring. They would have been amazing on the beach but unfortunately, looks like they won't be around anymore (Greg has said otherwise but his health has gone down hill fast). Glad I am headed to The Peach Fest this year to see them close it out one last time.

I like your list and wish I could go to Peach Fest. A couple groups that are just about to make it to headliner status are; Government Mule, North Mississippi Allstars and Tedeschi-Trucks. The first two have been to Hangout before on Main Stage but, were not headliners. Another couple performers who are classics would be Bob Dylan and Neil Young...CSN&Y would be the bomb on the beach. I heard someone mention Eric Church as an opener on Friday night and I'm down with that. The dude has a lot of talent and can rock. I would also like to see John Cougar Mellencamp and he would be an extremely good closer. If they wanted to get crazy and go different on Saturday night, Justin Timberlake with some special guests would be interesting. Oh well...day dreaming til next year. Cheers.

I do think HOF should hire us to put the schedule together. I really don't think it is an age difference. It's more of a musical taste difference. If they hired us for the schedule and lineup, they would cover a broad audience, I believe.

Dreamlist Headliners
Prince • Neil Young & Crazy Horse • My Morning Jacket
I'd be happy with any of these three, and I don't see Prince playing Hangout, but this is dreamlist.
