Hi there everyone, Does anyone have info/contact info on how to upgrade their tickets from the standard ones to the VIP?

A friend of mine did this last year. She emailed her request and contact info to info@hangoutmusicfest.com and someone from the fest called her and helped her upgrade.

Thank you Sarah!! yes , I just found out that you must purchase the VIP tickets on a separate order and once that is confirmed and verified , they cancel the payment on the first purchase.... happy days!

What makes vip worth it? Not trying to be an ass, just haven't been in it.

My list would be:
1) Air-conditioned bathrooms... with sinks. 2) Pools at the two big stages 3) Not having to worry about carrying cash for food and drinks 4) Private shows in the VIP lounge 5) Did I mention the air-conditioned bathrooms? (Sorry, it's a girl thing.)

I can understand the bathrooms. As a male it does not bother me as much. All of last year though I only had maybe two beers and I got food once. I was too busy rocking out or dying of heat to notice I was hungry. Seems like it would not be worth it for me personally.

That's fair. Different strokes for different folks!
I went GA in 2011 and spent way more than I care to admit in food and drink. Once I tallied it all up, it made sense to go VIP in 2012, 2013, and now 2014. I am a heavy drinker, though, and your mileage may vary.

I understand and am a heavy drinker as well, but almost all my drinking was done before and after the show. I just didn't want to miss music and my group was not big drinkers. Glad you found what works for you though.

can't wait for VIP. with all the solid bands packed into this year's festival i'm sure i'll want to be there early in the afternoon. having a respite from the sun/heat in VIP will do wonders for keeping me energized.
and since there are some serious headliner conflicts, being able to catch some of the boom boom tent acts and then mosey over to the main stage without having to worry about finding ourselves too far back is a huge plus.

what made me decide was exactly what Sarah said..and the free drinks is a plus for me too, hopefully the wait for drinks isn't as long as a regular bar...I like to drink a lot when partying too....and being able to get close is always awesome, and they are pools!(cannonball!) I wonder how many ppl are allowed IN the vip?

It's usually very spacious in the VIP areas until headliner time. Even then, you still have a better view than most of GA.
