I've always heard since the initial lineup that there was no jam this year. Unless SCI is a late add to try to win that audience back.

The Cheese always puts on a great show...if only hangout had jazz fest headliners...phish Clapton the cheese Santana...on the beach would be hard to beat

String Cheese just announced Belfest May 22nd. May 1-3st jazzfest >> May 16-18th Hangout >> May 22-24nd Delfest (Maryland) >> June 5-8th Wakarusa. Hangout just seems to fit in there perfectly location wise. Let us pray!

My guess at two more possible additions to the fest are Jack White & The Alabama Shakes. Mr. White was just announced for Bonaroo as one of the headliners, and being that he is only playing festivals this year so far only makes it a huge possibility for him to play the hangout fest. Same goes for the Shakes. Both of them have brand new material recorded and ready to go so I'm guessing they're waiting around to release the news for their new albums. Both of them have stated they have their songs recorded. Now back to the main subject... Jack is playing Houston sometime between 5/31 and 6/01, New York sometime between 6/06 and 6/08, and Bonaroo (Manchester) between 6/12 and 6/15, which obviously leaves him open for the weekend of the hangout. As for the Shakes, they play the Nola Jazz & Heritage fest May 2nd, Suburbia Fest in Plato TX on May 3rd or 4th, and Shakey Knees in Atlanta on the 11th, leaving them available for the Hangout Fest as well. The fact that both Jack White and the shakes are both Hangout veterans makes this even more possible. I'm a HUGE fan of both of them so it would make this the greatest weekend of my life... even though it more than likely already will be.

i can def. see Alabama Shakes returning this year as they drew one of the largest non headliner crowds of 2012. I'd love love love to see Mr White back again but I dont see them booking him again as a headliner so soon.. Now Jack Black on the other hand is another story!!! BRING ON THE TENACIOUS D PLEASE!@!

Would love to see the tenacious D added to the schedule. Alabama shakes put on an average set for the size of the crowd. Jack White, been there, done that, one to the next one. His set was better than I anticipated but we already have the black keys and the killers to fill that.

So is the news for today just Amos lee to preform with gospel quire? Was hoping for a lil more then that but I'll take it! Zen you know no jack white but you don't say no to jack black? The d would totes rock the beach, so hard. Chromeo better be there or I'll cry. If roo announces a chromeo super jam I might just goo.

Chromeo is between Philly and NYC May 14 and 16/17. Looks as a no go for the beach.
