Agree. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Do like the idea of them putting all the market in one place. Anything to improve our ability to get from one stage to another is a good thing. Ditto access to beer tents and as clean as possible restrooms.

wait, when they say "gulf access points" does that mean you can walk from inside the festival out to the water? or is that just for people who are outside the festival to access the beach?

I would assume the gulf access will be for vip or sponsors. I am kind of not feeling the increase to 40k people. I liked the vibe last year. The year my morning jacket played, it was way packed everywhere.....

question on the location of the pool that's accessible from VIP at the chevy stage: where would it be on the map linked just above this post? just to the right of the red building (media center) and north of the stage but south of the roadway/boardwalk, or is it north of the boardwalk on the boom boom tent side? thanks! also, looks like they're going to cover the asphalt in the BMI stage courtyard. wonder if they'll do the same in the red bull stage courtyard. sounds like a cool idea. Sand in the courtyard

On the map it is between the VIP bathrooms and the VIP bar.

Just checked the FAQs on the Hangout Official Website and noticed some additional information. The size of backpacks or carry-ons will probably strictly enforced. Bummer about not being able to bring a beach chair, the simple, low the ground kind, that fits in a bag. Mine is smaller than the backpack size...hmmmm. I do not remember the volume of FAQs in the past so recommend reading this again. May be updates from folks asking questions thru Facebook or other social media. If anyone has taken one of those bag chairs in, please reply. Sure is easier on the butt and back that building a sand pit. I know they allow them at Bonnaroo. I can't see someone sneaking in something with the chair in the bag given the search. Oh, and they say there will be a line for backpacks and an express line for no backpacks or purses, etc.

bob, i'm taking it that the snake filled pool is also a full-time hotel pool outside of hangout weekend, unlike the other pools at the main stage which are temporary, is that a correct statement?
snakes typically are more comfortable in a more permanent habitat. i may just have to take my chances, though!
