They're adding a stage and more bands, but how else could they improve? Maybe make the Boom Boom bigger? What have you seen as a way to make the fest better?

I get that some folks like the carnival rides they have, and the rides themselves really aren't a problem. But I wish they'd really rethink playing music at the rides. The music from the drop ride bled over into the back of the Chevy Stage viewing area - super annoying!

I am looking for information about the shuttle bus services offered by Hangout. Did people have a good experience with them? Which lines were easier to get on the shuttles?
I have a reservation for the Beachside Resort Hotel, but the hotel reviews are pretty horrifying. I would like to stay close enough to walk to the festival, but I'm concerned that this hotel will be SO bad that we won't even be able to stay there.
HAS anyone stayed at the Beachside Resort Hotel before and have anything to say about their stay???
I am driving 16 hours to the festival, so I'm just trying to figure out what I should do.
I camped two years ago and we biked to this festival. But, I got heat stroke on the second day and then missed like all the bands. NOT trying to repeat that.
Any information is very much appreciated!!!!!! Thanks,
AMy

I agree with making the Boom Boom Tent bigger. If you get there after a show starts you have to stand 10' outside of the tent and can't see or hear anything correctly.
This will be my forth year and my only real complaint had been to many people. That and assholes laying in blankets in the middle of the crowd and then getting mad at you for stepping on it. It's not a Crosby, Stills & Nash show people.

Definitely need more liquor bars. Having to fight over 273 people at one bar gets old fast.

Having a place to chill/sit in the shade, listen to music, drink, appetizers/snacks like at the Hangout Courtyard, is awesome. If you could reproduce those Courtyard covered deck bars out from each of the stages....I believe that would be a winner. They might even be something that you could use through the summer....kinda like Satellite Hangouts.
An alternate way to walk from one end of the site to the other. It takes forever to get from the Chevy to the Main Stage trying to navigate a) the crowd around food/rides/etc., or b) through the sand. A walkway about 10 foot wide down the palm trees next to the beach would be helpful.
Oh, the bank sponsored water stations were awesome. Covering the portolets with a tent definitely was an improvement. Finally, moving the west access point is also appreciated. It was a long walk to get around the VIP area if you were heading down West Beach Blvd from the Main Stage.

Bring back the food trucks or upgrade the concession options. Outside of spicy pie. The food inside the venue was lacking. Not sure if they are trying to drive more traffic to the actual restaurant, but it was nice to sit down eat and burger and watch the werks play.

I would appreciate a change that would allow folks to take in a small, folding, chair in a shoulder carry bag. Bonnaroo and other venues allow them. Really saves a big man's back given watching great music all day. I would give up something allowed for a small folding chair.

Hey Bob, I hear ya, but big festivals don't allow chairs because people are complete morons about them. They want to get in the front row and set down and then bitch at folks for getting in front of them. Not saying you'd be like that at all, but that's why they don't allow em. Bonnaroo actually doesn't allow them either. You can always carve out a sofa in the sand, though!

i saw at ACL and GovBall they allow chairs in, but you can only set them up behind a certain point so as to avoid the issue you mention. don't know if that could work given the beach layout but some other festivals do offer this ability.

There should be no sand cubby holes or big blankets allowed after a certain point.
